5 Things I am Grateful for from January
Towards the end of last year, I promised myself to be more grateful in my life no matter how small. Today I am going to share with you 5 things I am grateful for from January.
We as people tend to focus on what we do not have rather than what we have, and this way of thinking blocks our blessings.
5 things I am grateful for from January
My Mom
I am so grateful to have still have my mom and that she can watch my son while I am at work.
Not a lot of women out there have this luxury. She has been the biggest help and she is my calm in the mist of all this chaotic life we are leading today.
On the plus side, I get to see her everyday as opposed to once in 3 months to 6 months.
Having Employment
With our unemployment rate staggering towards 30 % I am grateful to have a job.
It may not be perfect or what I what I studied for, but I am able to have an income to take care of my children and save towards the perfect life I aspire to.
The Gift of Life
We life for granted and every morning and night I pray and ask God to give me more years to watch my children grow. Everyday that I get to open my eyes I am thankful and grateful.
Shelter and Food
I am grateful that my family gets to go to bed on a full stomach and my daughter gets lunch for school.
This is one thing I do not take for granted because there are families that go to sleep hungry and children go to school with no lunch.
My Husband
Marriage does not guarantee a lifetime of sweetness. Been married to my husband 10 years this year.
We have known each other for 14 years. It has been a rocky journey for us, and he still drives me insane most of the time, but I am grateful for walking through this journey called life with him.
Practicing gratitude does not mean everything is all roses and rainbows. Life is a risk and we all go through it.
Instead of complaining, let us celebrate even the smallest victories.
