5 Tips How To Stick To Your New Year’s Resolutions
It is that time again where we make New Years Resolutions , we all start with a bang and fizzle out along the way (I am guilty of that). Here are some 5 Tips how to stick to your New Year’s Resolutions. Resolutions are like goals you want to achieve in the new year (more like short term goals).
5 Tips How to stick to your New Year’s Resolutions
1. SET REALISTIC GOALS
Setting realistic goals, I mean achievable goals that you want to reach. Not I Want to lose 50 kg in one week kind of goals. Saying you want to lose 50 kg within 6 months without going on life threatening diets sounds more doable right.
2. GET A LIFE PLANNER
Getting a life planner helps you pace yourself with resolutions/goals you want to achieve in the new year. Write your resolutions in pencil in case you want to move them around to fit your schedule. Also writing things down helps a lot than just saying them out loud.
3. SPREAD YOUR RESOLUTIONS ACROSS THE WHOLE YEAR
By spreading the resolutions/goals across the 12 months gives you time to work through them without rushing and pressure. Look at a goal and decide how much time you are going to take reaching it. Keeping in mind that you have other things happening in your life
4. MAKE SURE YOU ACHIEVE THAT MONTHS SPECIFIC GOAL
It’s important to reach the chosen goal of the month or 3 months. Give yourself time to achieve your goals without pressurizing yourself. Ease into them slowly and you will reach the finish line.
5. TAKE A STEP BACK ONCE IN A WHILE
Taking a step back once in a while to breath and reflect on what you have achieved is a beneficial step.
Quote of the Day
‘Every human mind is a great slumbering power until awakened by keen desire and by definite resolution to do.’
