Five Things I am Grateful For From May

Our world is hit hard by this pandemic, and I was contemplating if I should continue with my gratitude journey. When’s family and close friends have been hit hard financially and struggling to put food on the table every single day. So, here are Five things I am grateful for from May.

Life

The pandemic continues to take loved ones from their families and I still get to type this post is a blessing.  Even though, I lost my aunt in May my cousin gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.

Shelter

Having a shelter is something I do not take for granted because I walk past a lot of homeless and destitute people on the sidewalks when I go to get a taxi to work.

Work

I am so grateful for having an income, just yesterday my a close friend told me that she has lost her job because the company that she was working has informed them that they are closing.

My Children

They make any day good or bad worth living and pushing through. Their smile makes it all alright. I just love going home and have Aayan run to me in his walker and Abeerah dig in my bag for treats.

Weekends

I love being home and spending quality time with the kiddos. It is a time I do not compromise on even when there is no pandemic limiting us from doing things outside our home.

This concludes five things I am grateful for from May.
