How to Use Time and Energy Intentionally

I would like to start by saying Happy New Year to you. Wow, can you believe it’s the new year already. Lately I have been thinking about how to use time and energy intentionally.

In a few weeks my maternity leave will come to an end and I will be going back to work.

Honestly I don’t know how I will be able to balance being a mom of two and working a 9 to 5 full-time job.

Literally freaking out and I find myself waking up in the middle of the night. Thinking about how to use time and energy intentionally this year.

Here are some of the things I came up with in an attempt to remain sane.

Plan

I suck at planning or keeping a schedule to the point of forgetting my daughter’s projects and find myself running like a headless chicken.

So, I came to conclusion to start planning and keeping a schedule in order for me to remember things and get things down.

Ask for help

This is another thing I struggle with is asking for help. When I feel overwhelmed because of the fear of being taken as weak.

Promised myself to ask for help this year and stop being a superwoman in order for me to save my time and energy.

Stop Spending Too Much Time on Social Media

Social media can take up a lot of your time. I know this because I am guilty scrolling through Instagram mindlessly.

While I could be doing something productive and constructive.

Watch Less Television

I have been saying this for years but never really stuck to my plan to stop watching television, because like social media it is also time-consuming.

This is the year I will go cold turkey of watching television.

Take Online Courses

Instead of spending time scrolling through social media and watching hours of television. Promised myself to take some online courses.

Investing in your and upgrade your skills is definitely a way to use time and energy intentionally.

I have already two course via Udemy, and I am enjoying learning new things.

Read Books

Promise myself to read books this year because I don’t remember the last time I read a book.

There is a place near my house that sells second hand books and I will be surely be buying from there to save money on most books.

Work Smarter not Harder

2020 is a year to start working smarter not harder. Work smarter by choosing the work and collaborations that I will be getting involved with.

I will not be afraid to say no because I am afraid that bridges will be burned and only do the work that only adds value in my life and my audience.

What are you planning to do intentionally this year?
