My Top Facial Home Remedies
Green Tea Basin Steam
I love this homemade steamer using my bathroom basin it helps to open up the pores very nicely, so I am never without green tea. Just put boiling water in the basin, put the green tea bags let it soak and then cover your head with a towel for a few minutes then voila your homemade facial steam.
Maize Meal and Turmeric Mask
I use this mixture to exfoliate my skin and then I leave on and let it dry, the maize meal is natural not added chemicals and does not dry out the skin and the turmeric it helps with clearing my acne scars and helps with reducing fine lines and helps with dark circles under the eyes. I normally put a tablespoon of maize meal, tip of the teaspoon turmeric and drops of olive oil because I have dry skin leave it on for a few minutes, rinse off with lukewarm water.
Toothpaste
This is my favorite I always use toothpaste on my pimples over night because it helps them to dry out and heal faster.
Calamine Lotion
Calamine because also helps to dry out acne and pimples. Also lightens dark blemishes left by pimples as well as improving my skin texture, I normally leave it overnight and it has improved the visibility of my scars cause of acne.
Well, there are my top facial home remedies I swear by and they really work for me and I also love that they are easy to find, always in my cabinet or cupboard and most importantly they are very affordable. Skin care should not always break the bank simple products also work too.

Great Tips – I drink green tea so will be trying the Face Steaming with Green Tea, I have used Tumeric on my face once and I was totally surprised that it did not stain my skin. I can’t say why I did not do it again, no reason other than forgetfulness or laziness ?
My son is a big toothpaste for pimples advocate – wish I knew that during my spot faze youth
Thanks for sharing with #ShowaseTuesday
