I have been using the New Ponds Cleansing Balm for a couple of months now. It launched in South Africa late 2020. I first saw the product at Clicks stores and as I was shopping, was on the phone Googling the product looking for reviews on the Ponds Cleansing Balm to see if it was worth the price charged.
Apparently, this product won the Allure 2018 Best of Beauty Award, so we are a bit behind here in South Africa because the product has been doing very well internationally.
· I love the pretty in pink packaging, which sort of looks like a tub of ice-cream.
· I bought the product for R199 .99 at Clicks.
Removes waterproof make up.
· The Cleansing balm is made of 100% Natural oils and organic French Rose extract.
· Comes with a cute scoop.
The product really smelled like something you would eat and felt very luxurious on my hands when I was rubbing it between my hands and the balm just instantly turned into oil. It felt very flowy on my face and as I watched it off. The water in the basin turned white like milk.
My skin type is a combination, which is tough to get a product that does not become harsh on the dry parts of my face. The Ponds Cleansing Balm left my skin not feeling stripped off its natural moisture and smooth.
Was the product the price? Absolutely, it was worth every rand I paid for it. I don’t really wear make-up that much, but I have seen more amazing reviews from people who wear makeup. I bought the Ponds Cleansing Balm because I wanted to try it, since it is oil based and see how moisturising it will be on my combination skin type.
