We may be under lockdown that does not mean you don’t have to spoil your mom. All you have to do is get creative and practical about gifts this year. Here is my ultimate lockdown mother’s day gift guide for 2020.

I have included some practical yet essential items that moms really need at this time with kids being at home. If you are not with your mom since we are practicing social distancing you can still put a smile on your mom’s face virtually, thanks to technology.

Breakfast in Bed

This is a no brainer surprise mom with breakfast in bed and ask dad or someone older to assist in the preparation of the breakfast. Asking for help so that you don’t hurt yourself while trying to spoil your mom.

Handwritten Card

Add some personal, creative and practical touch to creating a mother’s day card at home with material available in the house. Bring out those colour pencils, ribbons, gifts wraps and glitter and get busy.

Essential Oils

With children being home longer than usually because of the extended lockdown. Moms may be overworked and stressed out.

Essential oils are awesome to create some aromatherapy spa at home for mom to relax and have some me time.

This one is practical and every mom needs one to jot down important things in her life. Also, amazing for writing down things you are grateful and thankful for in your life.

Beauty and Skin Care Products

Check and see which products mom loves to use on a daily basis and buy her more.

Mom will love this because, even though we are lockdown we still love to pamper ourselves and maintain good hygiene.

Give mom some coupons to use for things like feet rub, massage, doing house chores of her choice that she can cash in whenever she wants.

Shop Online

This is awesome for when you can’t travel to have the traditional lunch with your mom. Order something and have it delivered to her house from businesses like Netflorist, Woolies and more that are operating during this lockdown.

You can send a virtual mother’s card through to you mom via Paperless Post here

At the end of the day it is the thought that counts so enjoy this mother’s day while staying safe.

Happy Mother’s Day to you all.
